HOME    GUESTBOOK    ABOUT

At about quarter to noon I decided to head to lower Manhattan. Most people where eager to help in anyway they could to the rescue efforts. However, the radios were advising them to go home and be with their families because there was no shortage in volunteers. The only way citizens were asked to help was to go to a nearest hospital, and donate blood. Unfortunately, I become very weak even when a small amount of my blood is taken for a test. Consequently, I didn't think that I could be a blood donor.

I did however think that I could help by showing all the people that would be able to see my photos on the Internet that New York was still strong and organized. That there was no panicking on the streets of Manhattan, and that everything was being done to organize the rescue efforts, and that New Yorkers were shaken but were still standing strong in their spirit.

And so I took my camera and headed south towards the Ground Zero taking images along the way. This photo shows the best side of religion. All the places of worship along the way had their doors wide open and were ready to offer help and moral support to anyone in need.
