Eager to learn about ongoing developments people gathered around a van to listen car radio for latest news coverage. There was certainly a lack of information available to people on the streets. I heard rumors about planes that crashed in San Francisco, and a destroyed White House. Just up to an hour before the time this photo was taken no one heard anything about the condition of United States President or his whereabouts. But still there was no panicking, and one must agree that New Yorkers are some of the toughest people in the world, and were able to handle a disaster of such magnitude with the usual calmness, and discipline that they posses.
