Saturday, September 15, 2001. Relatives of World Trade Center attack victims were posting photos of missing people on buildings, USPS mailboxes, and traffic light posts. This person had photos of his brother on the back of an SUV with a plea to help him find his missing brother. I was supposed to fly home that weekend but LaGuardia Airport had only partially reopened for travelers. My flight got cancelled within hours of scheduled departure, and I had to stay in the city for the weekend. I went for a walk around Midtown Manhattan that afternoon with my camera in hand to capture changes in the city's atmosphere.
