The terrorists may have thought they were going to weaken the
American people with this horrendous act but all they have done is drawn the
American people closer together. May God be with those families who lost loved ones
but let them all know we will never forget. Their deads will not go
un-punished.
- Donna (2002.09.11 20:45)
One year later it still is difficult to believe this has happened on
the shores of North America. Keep the faith that God has given you. Love
one another. Mostly, never let a day go by that you don't tell your loved ones
just how much they mean to you! and that you love them! For you never know.
God Bless and keep us all! Thankyou for your tribute to those who perished
in 9/11-ironic that it was 911! Never again will we be able to enjoy life the
way we did. How truly sad that is.
- Trish from Toronto (2002.09.11 20:46)

I would like to say thank you and God Bless you for your courage to
go out and share with us all that you put on the internet. Some might say that
you were curious but I say you have given us a perspective from your eyes.
Although I don't feel that we here in Canada can feel the tradgedy as those of
you in New York can we have shed many, many tears of sadness and anger along
with you. Your strength and courage to rise above this only shows what a united
Country you are. My thoughts and prayers will always be with the United
States and the families that have suffered so much through the happenings of 9/11.
A lot of us here are flying Canadian and American flags side by side. A
beautiful sight and is as it should be.

Thank you for sharing your story and pictures with us. Even though a
year has passed since this tragic event occured, the pain and suffering in
our hearts carry on. My heart and soul goes out to all those who were touched
that horrible day. We must always remember and cherish those who lost their
lives that morning. This horrific event brought not only the United States to a
stand still but the whole world. That day I think we all realized how special
life is and how important it is to love everyone. We are all united and
that, we must carry on and rejoice for the sake of our children and ourselves. My
love and prayers go out to everyone. May God bless you all and God bless
America.
- Charles Lloyd (2002.09.12 04:13)
I enjoyed the caption:
Later that day I praised United States government for having a very strict
policy for a procedure of initiating a nuclear attack. Because right at that
moment I was so angry that I wouldn't have taken time to think twice about
pushing that big red button if I had a chance to do so. I was angry that such
colossal madness, and such blind religious fanaticism exists in the world, and that
it was able to conceive such monstrosity as an attack on a civilian
population with a sole intent to cause maximum casualties.
==
I appreciate your honesty here. Far too many people would consider this a
politically incorrect expression of your reaction. Some would say we should
think about what America has done to deserve this. Yeah right!
Thanks and nice photos.
- Barb in Ontario (2002.09.12 04:18)
Absolutely excellent photo's, many are better than we we have seen

Truly, a sad time. So many lives, senselessly taken and for what?
NOTHING can justify this act but the worst part is the legacy it leaves. I'm
truly sadden about the future, I've lost faith in human kind. So few control so
many...
- Nathan Abramowitz (2002.09.12 08:57)
Very important to keep these - so many people want to forget.

written with the deserving respect and kindness not only for the most unfortunate
victims but also the Emergency workers for that unforgettable day in history.
Thank you for sharing.
- Tina Finelli, Toronto (2002.09.12 10:22)
Thank you for sharing these photos which so vividly capture the
horror of Sept 11 and the beauty and strength of New Yorkers. This gives a totally
different perspective to a tragic day in history
- Frank Law (2002.09.12 10:45)
When hit, hit back, and you start a feud. Turn the other cheek,
which is so hard to do, no feud. Israelies and Palestinians, just keep on
feuding, latest two years of hitting, what result? It is but natural to stop those
who inflict pain on one, there are alternatives to kicking your tormentor in
the crutch. The strength of the New Yorker shows through in your pictures, I
hope that strength is not misguided. Thank you for your manner of doing the
pictures and text, which probably only a Canadian could do, one that is so close
to being, but is not an 'American'. Thank you kindly.
- E. M. Cadieux (2002.09.12 10:48)
May God Bless the victims the survivors and thier families

I logged on to your site after arriving home from giving blood. You
have outdone yourself! Yours was a very personal account of those few hours
that changed the world. Touching...sensitive...a different perspective from what
we saw and heard on the news reports. 9-11-2002: The anniversary came and the
air was filled with gloom. I had a feeling of dread...as if something
terrible was going to happen...so on this anniversary day I learn that a loved one
very dear to me has been diagnosed with cancer. The emotions of the day the WTC
ceased to exist along with the many many victims that lost their lives, were
once again very real to me. You have made me realize with your pictures and
commentary that life goes on in the hardest of circumstances. I felt helpless
when the twin towers were brought down and seeing all the injured people I wanted
to reach out to them and help.I tried monetary donations...which I'm sure
were appreciated but didn't seem like it was enough so I went to give what God
has given me...my blood. It gave me a feeling of fulfillment to know that I may
be helping someone hold on to life. I have donated five times now...9-11 being
my first and I continue to do so in memory of those unfortunate people. My
heart goes out to all of them and their families. I totally understand the need
to help and I commend you on setting up this site. It's an awesome memorial!

You captured the heart of the story in your photos. We will never
forget that day. We have friends who are Americans and live in Ottawa. I
phoned them on Saturday September 15, 2001 to express my condolences and heartfelt
sorrow and told them that America didn't deserve to be hit that way. May God
protect and comfort the families who lost so much on that tragic day.

Well done! If Canada only had a real leader like Bush.I am so
embarassed of our P.M.! Chretien is a couple sandwiches short of a full picinic. We
need a leader that can relate, communicate, assist, comprehend and be right

comments are very touching. It reminded me how horrified experinece it was for

families & friends as long as they live.

i am sorry for all the loss of dear people ........ but North
America should stand tall and destroy the people responsible. An eye for an eye and
a tooth for a tooth, take out Sadaem
Hussien and his regime before more havoc is unleashed on so many innocent
western people. Stand tall American people and be proud of your flag as you
always have been!!!!!! Stand tall for the men who have gone to the middle East
and support ther efforts no matter the conclusion . I am proud as a Canadian to
have you as my neighbourgh and brother !!!!
