Friday, August 24, 2001. This is one of the last images of the Twin Towers that I have. It was taken while waiting in queue on tarmac of Newark International Airport across the Hudson river from Manhattan. Shooting handheld at sunset through an airplane's window I knew I wouldn't have a great photo. However, just a few weeks later this photo gained a much greater significance for me.
